Rockchip RKnanoC chips provide a complete set of peripheral interfaces, including NAND Flash, LDC, USB/OTG, SD/MMC, I2C, I2S, SPI, UART, PWM, and so on. These rich interfaces have a wide range of applications in the smart home. For example, through the USB/OTG interface, external storage devices can be easily connected to realize fast data transmission and storage.The SD/MMC interface can be used to expand the storage capacity of the device.The I2C and I2S interfaces are commonly used to connect sensors and audio devices to realize data acquisition and audio signal transmission.The SPI and UART interfaces can communicate with other controllers or modules to SPI and UART interfaces are able to communicate with other controllers or modules to realize the cooperative work of the system. Rockchip RKnanoC chip provides a complete set of peripheral interfaces, including but not limited to the following applications in smart home:



  • USB 2.0 OTG: It can be used to connect external devices, such as USB flash drives and removable hard disks, etc., to facilitate data transfer and exchange, such as reading audio files from external storage devices for playback.
  • SD/MMC: Supports SD card or MMC card for expanding storage space to store more audio, video or other data.
  • SPI: Connects to SPI interface devices, such as some sensors or other peripherals, for data acquisition or control.
  • I2S: Commonly used for digital audio signal transmission between audio devices, which can be connected to audio processing chips such as audio CODEC (codec) to enhance the quality of audio input and output.
  • UART: It can be used to communicate with other devices with UART interface, such as text information transmission with some simple display devices.
  • I2C: Used to connect various I2C devices, such as some sensors, EEPROM, etc., to realize the control and data interaction with these devices.
  • MCU LCD interface: It can drive an LCD screen with a resolution up to 220×176 to display relevant information, such as the information of playing songs, device status, and so on.



These interfaces enable the RKnanoC chip to flexibly connect and interact with a variety of external devices and sensors, thus realizing a rich variety of functions in the smart home, such as audio playback, data storage and transmission, device control and monitoring, and so on.
