How Superchip XPD913 Chip Supports Multi-Port Operation Mode

2025/07/17 10:42:09 38

Superchip XPD913 chip supports multi-port operation mode in the following ways:

  • Port Configuration and Power Distribution: XPD913 chip is adapted to 2A1C interface configuration, the output voltage range of C port is from 3.3V to 21V, which can provide a maximum output power of 100W; A port through the synchronous switching buck controller output, the output voltage range is from 3.6V to 20V, which can provide a maximum output power of 45W. The design of different power outputs from different ports enables the power to be reasonably distributed according to the needs of the connected devices when working with multiple ports to meet the charging requirements of different devices.
  • Intelligent protocol recognition and fast charging support: The chip has passed PD3.1 certification, with 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 20V PDO configurable, and supports QC3+, Huawei FCP/SCP/HVSCP, Apple 2.4A, Samsung AFC, Vivo VOOC, MTK PE and other mainstream fast charging protocols on the market. When working with multiple ports, the chip can automatically identify the fast charging protocols supported by the devices connected to each port, and automatically adjust the output voltage and current according to the protocols to ensure that each device can be safely charged at the fastest speed, realizing the function of simultaneous fast charging of multiple devices.
  • Flexible working mode switching: When the single port works independently, both A and C ports can maintain the fast charging function. When the C port is working, the A port can output 5V, and the C port still maintains fast charging. This design makes it possible to meet the needs of fast charging for the devices connected to the C port, while the A port can also provide charging support for other small-current devices, which greatly improves the flexibility and efficiency of charging, and can be better adapted to different scenarios of use and equipment combinations.
  • Integrated control loop and compensation function: CC and CV control loops are integrated in the chip, when the output current is less than the set value, the output voltage is constant in CV mode; when the output current is greater than the set value, the output voltage is reduced in CC mode. In addition, it also supports online upgrade function and line loss compensation function, with the increase of output current, the output voltage will be increased accordingly to compensate for the voltage drop caused by the internal resistance of the charging cable. These functions can ensure that the output voltage and current of each port are more stable and accurate when working with multiple ports, which improves the safety and reliability of charging and ensures the stability of multi-port charging.
