In 1946, Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo Co. Started as a small company with a capital of only 190,000 yen and 20 employees. The founder, Mr Fumio Inoue, stated that the company was established with the aim of "To build an ideal factory that is free, broad-minded, and relaxed, and to contribute to Japanese culture through excellent technology." Symbolising Sony's challenging spirit of "doing things that have never been done before", the company has continued to launch numerous products that have made their mark on Japan and the world. The company continues to introduce many innovative products in Japan and around the world.
