Aptiv (formerly Delphi) is a multinational technology company that develops safer, greener and more connected solutions for the future of transportation. Aptiv focuses on the "brain" and "nervous system" of the car, including sensing and computing, software, signal and power transmission architecture. Aptiv is the predecessor of Delphi Automotive, a well-known auto parts supplier. On December 5, 2017, Delphi spun off its powertrain business and renamed it Aptiv PLC to focus on accelerating commercialization in areas such as active safety, autonomous driving, enhanced driving experience and connected services.
