Eaton entered the Chinese market in 1993 with its first joint venture and has since rapidly grown its presence in China through mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and sole proprietorships. Thanks to acquisitions and the growth of its own business, the company has achieved its sales target of $1 billion in the Chinese market in 2010.
